Dump raw broken lasagna noodles into the slow cooker with just four other simple ingredients for a meal so delicious your family will be asking for seconds!

This 5-Ingredient Slow Cooker Patriots Day Lasagna is a simple, deconstructed twist on the classic layered pasta dish, made for easy “set-it-and-forget-it” cooking. By using broken lasagna noodles and layering them with ricotta, mozzarella, Italian sausage, and marinara, you get a rustic, hearty texture. The slow cooker helps the dry noodles soften directly in the sauce, creating a rich, cheesy dish with all the flavor of traditional lasagna—without the extra work.

5-Ingredient Slow Cooker Patriots Day Lasagna – Ingredients

  • 12 dry lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or pasta sauce
  • 1 container (15 oz) ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 lb Italian sausage, cooked and drained

Step-by-Step Directions:

Step 1: Prepare the Base
Lightly grease a 5–6 quart slow cooker. Spread 1/2 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom to keep the noodles from sticking.

Step 2: Add the Noodles
Place the broken dry noodles into the slow cooker in an even layer.
Tip: Break them into large, uneven pieces so the sauce can coat them better and help them cook evenly.

Step 3: Layer the Filling
Mix the ricotta with 1/2 cup of mozzarella in a bowl. Add half of the cooked sausage over the noodles, then spoon half of the ricotta mixture on top. Pour half of the remaining marinara sauce over everything.

Step 4: Repeat & Finish
Repeat the layers with the remaining sausage, ricotta mixture, and sauce. Top with the remaining 1 1/2 cups of mozzarella.
Tip: Press down any dry noodle edges so they’re covered with sauce to ensure they cook properly.

Step 5: Cook
Cover and cook on LOW for 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours, until the cheese is melted and the noodles are tender.

Step 6: Let It Rest
Turn off the slow cooker and let the lasagna sit, covered, for 15–20 minutes. This helps it set and makes it easier to serve.
